This weekend Ocean City becomes one of the most electric places on the entire East Coast.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are thundering over the boardwalk. France's legendary Patrouille de France is joining them for a historic "Libertรฉ 250" performance โ€” the first stop on their nationwide tour celebrating America's 250th birthday. And when the jets go quiet at 3 PM, ten of Ocean City's best live music venues fire up for the night.

Here is your complete guide to Air Show weekend in OCMD.

โœˆ๏ธ The Air Show: What's Happening & When

Saturday, June 13 + Sunday, June 14 ๐Ÿ“ Ocean City Beach & Boardwalk โ€” Free to the public ๐Ÿ•› Program: 11:30 AM | Aerial performances: Noon to 3:00 PM

Who's flying:

 • U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds โ€” F-16 Fighting Falcons, precision formations, high-speed solo maneuvers directly over the beach

 • Patrouille de France โ€” The aerobatic team of the French Air and Space Force kicks off their "Libertรฉ 250" U.S. tour right here in Ocean City, flying Alpha Jets with red, white, and blue smoke trails over the Atlantic

 • Air Force F-35 Lightning II Demo Team โ€” one of the most powerful jets in the U.S. arsenal up close

Free from anywhere on the beach or boardwalk. VIP and premium viewing tickets at air.show/oceancity.

Best viewing: The jets fly parallel to the shore. Anywhere between 8th and 30th Street gives you a great sightline. Get there early โ€” this is one of Ocean City's most attended weekends of the year.

๐ŸŽธ The Music: Your 10-Venue Weekend Guide

The show ends at 3 PM. The music carries you the rest of the day and deep into the night. Here is where to be across Ocean City this weekend.

๐Ÿ๏ธ 1. Seacrets โ€” 49th St on the Bay

The anchor of any serious OCMD music weekend, and this one is no exception.

Saturday, June 13 โ€” Ballyhoo! (Beach Stage) Maryland's own ska-punk-reggae kings. Ballyhoo! has been rocking Seacrets for years โ€” this is a hometown crowd that knows every word. DJ Connair Live runs the Bay Stage from 11 AMโ€“6 PM, Bay Party all day.

Sunday, June 14 โ€” G. Love & Donavon Frankenreiter (Beach Stage) Doors 7 PM | 21+ | $30 via LineLeap | Seacrets & Ocean 98.1 Summer Concert Series G. Love brings his signature blues-hip-hop-acoustic blend. Donavon Frankenreiter is pure surf-soul California vibes. Together on the Beach Stage the night after the Thunderbirds โ€” that's a weekend memory.

๐ŸŒด 2. Fager's Island โ€” 60th St on the Bay

Fager's is where the sunset crowd lives. Sitting on the bay at 60th Street, the deck views alone are worth the trip. Live music on stage Saturday and Sunday nights starting at 9:30 PM, with deck entertainment earlier in the evening. The combination of Fager's deck at golden hour + live music + Air Show weekend energy makes this a must-stop Saturday.

๐ŸŒŠ 3. Coconuts Beach Bar & Grill โ€” 37th St Oceanfront

Coconuts at Castle in the Sand is Ocean City's most beachfront live music experience โ€” literally in the sand dunes with ocean views from every seat. Two bands daily all summer. This weekend: live music Saturday 5โ€“9 PM, Sunday noonโ€“3 PM and again 4โ€“8 PM. If you want live music with your feet practically in the sand, Coconuts is your spot.

๐ŸŽฃ 4. Fish Tales โ€” 21st St on the Bay (Bahia Marina)

Fish Tales is a local legend โ€” a bayfront bar that used to be a locals-only secret and is now one of OCMD's most beloved spots. Waterfront deck, great sunset views, family friendly until the evening turns 21+. Live music on the bay, typically afternoons and evenings throughout the weekend. Check their Facebook for the weekend lineup.

๐ŸŽท 5. Bourbon Street on the Beach โ€” Boardwalk Area

Bourbon Street is known as one of Ocean City's most consistent live music spots on the boardwalk strip. Explore OC calls it "a hub for live music in Ocean City" and notes it's "renowned for its open-mic nights and local talent." If you want boardwalk energy with live bands and a gritty, fun vibe, this is your stop. Great for post-air show afternoon drinks while the crowd is still buzzing.

๐Ÿบ 6. Beach Barrels โ€” 132nd St, North OC

Beach Barrels is a serious sports bar and live music venue at the north end of the island. Known for hard rock, southern rock, and regional touring acts. Regularly features bands like 33rpm, Glamour Kitty, and Rob Benton. If the softer beach bars aren't your scene and you want full-band rock volume this weekend, head north to Beach Barrels.

๐Ÿฆ€ 7. Harpoon Hanna's โ€” Fenwick Island (DE/MD border)

Technically just over the Delaware line but very much part of the OCMD music circuit, Harpoon Hanna's is a waterfront institution on the bay with a legendary Tiki Bar open April through October. Live music on the water, happy hour daily, and a relaxed bayfront vibe that pairs perfectly with a Sunday afternoon after the air show. Call ahead or check their site for weekend entertainment.

๐Ÿงƒ 8. Salt 75 โ€” North OC

Salt 75 is one of North Ocean City's neighborhood gems โ€” a laid-back bar with live music that draws a local crowd and visiting regulars who've discovered it. Less tourist-heavy than the boardwalk scene, great for discovering new local artists in a relaxed setting. Check their social media for this weekend's act.

๐Ÿชผ 9. Jolly Jellyfish Beach Club โ€” 98th St Oceanfront

"Don't Be Jelly โ€” We Have Big Deck Energy." That's their tagline and it delivers. The Jolly Jellyfish is an oceanfront bar with a big outdoor deck, casual island-style dining, and live music in a setting that captures the best of the OCMD outdoor bar scene. Located at 98th Street โ€” midway up the island, right on the ocean. A great stop for the late afternoon stretch between the air show and the evening concert scene.

๐ŸŠ 10. Caribbean Pool Bar at the Plim Plaza โ€” Boardwalk at 2nd St

Right on the boardwalk at the south end, the Caribbean Pool Bar at the Plim Plaza Hotel is open to the public with live music daily. An Olympic-sized pool, frozen drinks, and live entertainment in the heart of the downtown boardwalk action. Perfect for the Saturday afternoon air show crowd who want to keep the party going without leaving the boardwalk area.

BONUS: Mr. Ducks โ€” 28th St Bayside

Mr. Ducks is a local institution on the bay at 28th Street โ€” a casual, no-frills bar and grill that has been part of the OCMD fabric for years. Known for a loyal local crowd, laid-back bayside atmosphere, and live music that leans into the regional Delmarva artist circuit. Great stop for early afternoon drinks before the evening concert run.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Beat the Crowds: Practical Tips

Traffic is serious on Air Show weekend. Extra highway buses and shuttles are running from the Ocean City Convention Center. Leave earlier than you think, or use the shuttle.

Parking: Fill up before noon if you want any spot within walking distance of the boardwalk.

The beach zone: Jets fly parallel to the shore โ€” anywhere from 8th to 30th Street is a great free viewing spot. No ticket needed.

Seacrets logistics: It's at 49th Street on the BAY side โ€” not the boardwalk. First-timers always confuse this. Plug in the address.

Sunday strategy: Air show noonโ€“3 PM โ†’ afternoon at Coconuts, Fish Tales, or Caribbean Pool Bar โ†’ sunset at Fager's deck โ†’ G. Love at Seacrets at 7 PM. That is a perfect OCMD Sunday.

๐ŸŽถ Why This Weekend Is Special

Ocean City has live music every single night from Memorial Day through Labor Day. But Air Show weekend is different.

The Patrouille de France chose Ocean City as the first stop of their nationwide Libertรฉ 250 tour celebrating America's 250th birthday. The Thunderbirds are back in their F-16s. And when the sky show ends, ten venues across the island pick up exactly where the jets left off.

We built OCMDVibes.live so you never miss a show โ€” whether you're planning two weeks out or standing on the boardwalk right now wondering where the music is.

Every band. Every bar. Every night.
