Sky High Summer: Ocean City Air Show 2026 + Complete Live Music Guide — Saturday June 13

Good morning, Ocean City.

If you were on the beach this morning you already felt it — the energy is different today. The crowds came early, the boardwalk is packed from the Inlet north, and somewhere over the Atlantic, six F-16s are getting ready to remind everyone why this is the greatest stretch of beach on the East Coast.

Welcome to Air Show weekend. Let's get you ready for the best day of early summer in OCMD.

The Ocean City Air Show has been a beloved summer tradition since 1997, and 2026 is delivering the biggest edition yet.

For the first time in the show's history, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are sharing the sky above the Ocean City boardwalk with France's elite aerobatic squadron — the Patrouille de France. The French team chose Ocean City, Maryland as the very first stop of their Liberté 250 U.S. Tour, which celebrates America's 250th birthday with their signature red, white, and blue smoke trails painted across the sky.

Think about that for a second. Of every city and airfield in the United States, they chose Ocean City to kick it off. Not a bad honor for our boardwalk.

The show runs today and tomorrow — Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14 — from approximately 11:30am to 3:00pm both days. It is completely free to watch from the beach and boardwalk between 11th and 17th Street. If you want a premium reserved viewing spot, tickets are available at oceancity.com/air-show.

What to know before you go:

Parking fills fast along the 11th to 17th Street corridor. Arrive by 10:30am if you want beach access and a good vantage point. Walking from a few blocks north or south is almost always faster than circling for a spot. Bring water, sunscreen, and chairs. There is no bad angle — the Thunderbirds work the full stretch of sky from the beach out over the ocean.

Saturday June 13 (today): Sunny. High 78°F. 5% chance of rain. Perfect air show and beach day.

Sunday June 14: Mostly sunny. High 75°F. Air Show Day 2 looks just as good.

Monday through Wednesday: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Highs ranging from 71 to 76°F. A great week ahead on the shore.

Water temperature: 63°F. Beach flag: Green. Safe swimming conditions.

Air Show Saturday is one of the biggest live music nights of the early summer season in Ocean City. With the show bringing in crowds from across the Mid-Atlantic, nearly every venue from the Inlet to the bay is running a full evening lineup tonight.

Seacrets Jamaica USA — The anchor of Air Show Saturday. The Seacrets Bay Party runs from 11am through the afternoon. Tonight's music lineup goes deep into the night:

Seacrets is the move if you want to be in the middle of the biggest night on the bay. Plan to stay late.

Fager's Island — Always a strong Air Show Saturday card. Full Circle opens at 5:30pm. DJ Robcee takes over at 9:30pm. Then Midnight Mimosa closes it out at 10pm. Fager's at 10pm on a summer Saturday is one of the great OCMD experiences.

Ocean Downs Casino — Free Outdoor Concert — Bruce In The USA, a Springsteen tribute band, plays a free outdoor show at 8pm. No ticket required. Full details at the Ocean Downs promotions page. This is one of the best free shows of the weekend and it will fill up — get there by 7:30pm.

Harpoon Hanna's — Three acts running the full evening. DJ Wax from 3 to 6pm. Keith White Duo from 6 to 10pm. Fuzzbox Piranha takes it from 9pm through 1am. Harpoon Hanna's on the Fenwick Island bay is a different energy than the OC venues — more laid back, great sunset view, strong drink lineup.

Bourbon Street on the Beach — Dave Sherman runs the early set from 4 to 7pm. Monkee Paw picks it up from 8 to 11pm. Great boardwalk-adjacent location with an outdoor feel that works perfectly on a warm Air Show night.

Purple Moose Saloon — Under The Covers takes the stage at 10pm. The Purple Moose is the Boardwalk institution — loud, packed, no cover, and exactly what it should be on a Saturday night.

The Ocean City Air Show has been a summer tradition since 1997, making 2026 one of nearly three decades of aerial performances over the boardwalk.

What started as a civic vision to kick off summer with world-class aviation over the boardwalk has become one of the most anticipated events on the entire East Coast. Over nearly three decades the show has hosted the Blue Angels, the Thunderbirds, vintage warbirds, daredevil solo acts, and elite military demonstration teams.

This year is the first time the Patrouille de France has ever performed at the Ocean City Air Show — and Ocean City is the very first stop of their Liberté 250 U.S. Tour. France chose us to open their celebration of America's 250th birthday. That is worth knowing before you look up at those smoke trails today.

Why did the Thunderbird pilot get a standing ovation at the boardwalk?

Because he really knew how to make an entrance.
